LCCC Volleyball Falls to Edison State in Season Opener

August 24, 2018 -- The Lorain County Community College volleyball team lost the season and home opener in straight sets tonight to Edison State CC, 25-16, 25-8, 25-22.
The Lady Commodores turned in a promising performance in two of the three sets. In the first set, the score was tied at 16 before Edison closed it out on a nine-point run. The third set was very close and could have gone either way.
LCCC was led by freshman setter Kara Sullinger (North Ridgeville/North Ridgeville) with 18 assists. Freshman hitter Addysen Kerr (North Ridgeville/North Ridgeville) contributed six kills. Sophomore defensive specialist Angela Dunn (Fairview Park/Fairview) led the defensive effort with 23 digs while sophomore DS Shannon Minney (Amherst/Steele) added 15 more digs.
