Brian Beck joined the NJCAA National Office staff in 2008 and serves as the vice president for compliance and eligibility. Beck oversees all the operations of the compliance and eligibility division, as well as serving on the association’s internal leadership team.

Beck’s responsibilities include the oversight of letters of intent (LOI) for over 500 member colleges, transfers, bylaws, hardships, and other related compliance and eligibility areas. Beck serves as a national office staff liaison for the NJCAA Eligibility Committee and as a mentor to many of the young professionals in the association.

As one of the longest tenured staff members in the NJCAA National Office, Beck started as the NJCAA director of eligibility, then worked his way up through the ranks to NJCAA assistant executive director, NJCAA chief operations director, and ultimately his current role of vice president.

Beck has been involved in some capacity with the NJCAA since 1994, getting his start at Hagerstown Community College, where he held positions as the assistant athletic director and then athletic director. Beck also served as the assistant men’s director for Region 10 and the vice president of the Garden State Athletic Conference.

In addition to administrative roles at Hagerstown, Beck held multiple coaching positions, most notably head softball coach from 1997 through 2003. In his seven years at the helm of the program, his teams won two region championships and were victorious in more than 160 games.

Prior to joining the NJCAA National Office staff, Beck also served as the Assistant Director of Athletics of Gloucester County College.

Beck graduated from James Madison University and received his master’s in sports management from Midway University.
